Greg Wright, MA, AMFT (removed)

Greg Wright is a psychotherapist who works collaboratively with clients affected by anxiety, trauma, addiction, life’s transitions and issues related to older adults and the LGBTQ community.

Greg works with his clients to co-author their preferred, alternative life stories, supporting them as they develop new conclusions about their lives that may contradict existing limitations. He often integrates components of other modalities including recovery and mindfulness practices into his sessions. Greg works with individuals, couples and families, and is dedicated to creating a safe, culturally sensitive space for his clients that is sex-positive and LGBTQ affirmative.

With over 25 years of diverse experiences in the corporate world prior to becoming a therapist, Greg has been able to study and nurture his relationship to the effects of change. Adding this experience to his involvement with older adults and the LGBTQ community, he has discovered a greater need to focus on aging and it’s impact on the ability to confront physical limitations, toxic shame and oppression. Greg’s shift in educational and career paths has allowed him to work with others as they navigate through the challenges and uncertainty of relationships to shifting goals, family, cultural norms and loss.

Greg received his BA from the University of Missouri, Columbia, and his MA in Clinical Psychology from Antioch University, Los Angeles. Greg completed his clinical training at Being Alive in West Hollywood, an LGBTQ Affirmative organization, and currently volunteers at Miracle Mile Community Practice as a Marriage and Family Therapist Registered Intern. Greg is a pre-licensed member of Group Psychotherapy Association of Los Angeles (GPALA), the California Association of Marriage & Family Therapists (CAMFT), the American Psychological Association (APA), and is an active participant in the post-modern therapy community in Los Angeles.
